The Annexin V-PE Apoptosis Detection Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of apoptotic cells using flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. Annexin V conjugated to phycoerythrin (PE) binds specifically to phosphatidylserine, which is externalized on the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane during early apoptosis.
This kit provides a sensitive and reliable method to distinguish viable, early apoptotic, late apoptotic, and necrotic cells, using PE-labeled Annexin V in combination with a vital dye such as propidium iodide (PI).
